Abstract

This study aims to increase the activeness of students of class XI IPS 3 of Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen High School in 2018/2019 academic year on economic subjects through thecooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT). This type of research is classroom action research for two cycles. The subject of the research was collaboration between teachers and researchers (actors of action) and students of class XI IPS 3 of Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen High School (recipient of action) totaling 27 students. Data collection techniques used include observation, documentation, interviews and field notes. To ensure the validity of the data, triangulation (source and time) is used. Data analysis techniques use comparative analysis techniques. The results showed an increase from pre-cycle or before the action that is equal to 38.52% to 44.44% at the first meeting in the first cycle, to 60.74% at the second meeting in the first cycle, to 68.89% at the third meeting in 2 cycle II, and 77.78% at the IV meeting in cycle II. In the observation guidelines the results of observations made by the teacher in the first cycle related to the act of teaching researchers that 90.32% of the implementation of the learning process was in accordance with the observation guidelines but not optimal, whereas in the second cycle the entire learning process was in accordance with the observation guidelines, so it was said teaching actions are in accordance with observation guidelines. Based on the results of the researchers, that the cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) is able to increase the activeness of class XI IPS 3 students of Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen High School if done correctly and correctly
