Abstract

Siti Marvu’ah/A410140072. CONTRIBUTION OF PARENT’S ROLE, MOTIVATION, AND LEARNING FACILITIES ON MATHEMATICS LEARNING OUTCOMES STUDENTS CLASS X SMKN 1 SAMBIREJO SRAGEN, 2017/2018. Thesis. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Agustus, 2018. There are four purposes in this research. (1) examine the contribution of parents' role, motivation, and learning facilities to the mathematics learning outcomes, (2) examine the contribution of parents’ role to the mathematics learning outcomes, (3) examine the contribution of motivation to mathematics learning outcomes, and (4) examine the contribution of learning facilities to mathematics learning outcomes. This study is quantitative research. The population in this research is 330 students of class X SMKN 1 Sambirejo Sragen. The study sample of 181 students was determined by the Slovin formula. The researcher uses proportional random sampling technique. The data are obtained using questionnaires and documentation. The researcher in analyzing the data uses multiple linear regression technique. The result of this study are: (1) there is a contribution from parent’s role, motivation, and learning facilities to mathematics learning outcomes equal to 5,6%, while 94,4% influenced by other factors, (2) there is a contribution parent's role towards mathematics learning outcomes, with relative contribution 75.6% and effective contribution of 4%, (3) there is no contribution of motivation towards mathematics learning outcomes at 5% significance level, (4) there is a contribution of learning facilities on mathematics learning outcomes, with a relative contribution of 25.2% and an effective contribution of 1.4%.
