Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the strategy of learning English to write simple sentences for upper class students at SD Negeri 2 Bulurejo 2) describe the supporting factors of learning English writing simple sentences for upper class students of SD Negeri 2 Bulurejo 3) describe the inhibiting factors of English learning write a simple sentence to upper class students of SD Negeri 2 Bulurejo 4) describe the learning strategy of English language to write simple sentences to upper class students of SD Negeri 2 Bulurejo as a solution to the obstacles found. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive research design. The informants of this study were English teachers, fourth grade students, fifth grade students and students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis through data reduction, data presentation and verification. The validity of the data is done by technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results showed that 1) learning English in Bulurejo 2 Public Elementary School was not effective 2) there were several supporting factors in learning 3) there were inhibiting factors in learning English writing simple sentences in grades IV and V, where the teacher had not utilized the supporting factor by students 4) To overcome obstacles found in one of the ways that can be used is to use learning strategies related to pregnancy writing, especially simple sentence 2 writing skills for upper class students including matching, organizing and copying, delayed copying, fill-i exercises, dictation, latters.
