Abstract

This research and development aims to determine the feasibility of using youtube media on economic learning KD 4.2 Presenting the findings of economic growth and development problems as well as ways to overcome them in Surakarta Muhammadiyah 3 High School. The development model in this study is Research and Development with step 4D namely Define, Desaign, Development, and Disseminate. Subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS totaling 15 people and XI MIPA which were 11 people of Muhammadiyah 3 High School Surakarta. The type of data in this study is qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data was obtained through public testing in the comments column on youtube sites and in-depth interviews (indept interviews) with material experts and media experts. Quantitative data is obtained from student learning outcomes using youtube learning media or not using any media. Data analysis techniques used in this study are qualitative and quantitative. The results of this research and development are producing a learning media product in the form of youtube which contains KD 4.2 material presents the findings of the problems of economic growth and development and how to overcome them. Learning outcomes using youtube media showed an average value in the experimental class of 80.66667 and the learning outcomes in the control class that did not use any media showed an average of 65.4545. Then it can be seen that the difference in the average difference in learning outcomes is 15.21. Feasibility of youtube learning media is valued by material experts, media experts, and public tests.
