Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the sociohistorical background Sapardi Djoko Damono as the author of the collection of poems Sutradara Itu Menghapus Diaolog Kita; (2) describe the use of majas and images; and (3) to describe the implementation of research results on literary learning in high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Source of data obtained from a collection of poems Directed That Removes Our Dialogue by Sapardi Djoko Damono. Techniques of collecting data using library techniques, techniques refer and record. Data analysis technique used is semiotic reading technique. The result of this research are (1) Prof. Dr. Sapardi Djoko Damono was born in Surakarta, 20 March 1940, making the city and some villages he once lived like Ngadijayan became one of the places in his works; (2) Majas found in a collection of poems Sutradara Itu Menghapus Diaolog Kita Sapardi Djoko Damono's work includes simile, personification, simile, personifikation, paralelisme, pleonasme and allegory dominated by the simile master. Major simile that dominates the collection of poems Sutradara Itu Menghapus Diaolog Kita We give a clearer picture of the situation depicted by the poet and give a concrete image of the imagination; (3) Research can be implemented in the learning of Indonesian literature, namely the Basic Competence 3.17 analyze the elements of poetry builder and Basic Competence 4.17 write poems by paying attention to the elements.
