Abstract

Purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the 2014 economic literacy and student activity levels of FKIP Accounting at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. This research raises the problem of how the implementation of economic literacy and the level of consumer activity of the 2014 FKIP Accounting students at Surakarta Muhammadiyah University. This type of research is qualitative ethnography with taxonomic data analysis techniques on the site. Data collection techniques are observation, in-depth interviews and documents. The informants were three students of FKIP Accounting 2014 class at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the students' economic literacy affects their consumption, but the family environment, the amount of pocket money and peers are the main influences of students in consuming, and the possibility of economic literacy that students have not yet referred to the real-life application of students everyday. can fully implement the economic literacy that is owned.
