Abstract

This study aims to improve the activity of student learning through the Problem Based Learning method in the basic accounting subjects of class X Accounting at SMK Prawira Marta Kartasura. This type of research is classroom action research carried out for two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were teachers (actors of action) and students of class X Accounting at SMK Prawira Marta Kartasura (recipients of action) totaling 15 students. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, tests, field notes, and documentation. Techniques for testing the validity of the data, using triangulation (methods and data sources). Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed an increase in student learning activeness by 23.34% from 58.33% in cycle I to 81.67% in cycle II. Based on the results of the study, the Problem Based Learning method can improve student learning activeness in the basic accounting subjects of class X Accounting at SMK Prawira Marta Kartasura if done correctly and correctly.
