Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between peer conformity with juvenile delinquency. The hypothesis is a correlation between peer conformity with juvenile delinquency. The subject of this research were 93 students and it taken by all of the population on Islamic high school 1 Surakarta so it use study population. Data collection tool in this study using a scale of peer confirmity and scale juvenile delinquency. Data were analyzed using nonparametric Spearman’s rho correlation by SPSS 16.0. Based the result of the analysis obtained correlation coefficient -0,166; significant (p) 0,111 which means there is no significant relationship between peer conformity with juvenile delinquency. Peer conformity have empirical mean (RE) equal to 66,23 and hypothetic mean (RH) equal to 62,5 so have medium range in peer comunity. Juvenile delinquency have empirical mean (RE) equal to 31,63 and hypothetic mean (RH) equal to 55, which have very low category in juvenile dwlinquency.
