Abstract

In Indonesia the industrial sector is important to the development. The industrial sectors have a various kinds, the craft industry is one of them. Klaten Regency is one of the region that have a potential craft product industry, the potential industry by Batic Industry. The object research are Batic Industry had spread on 3 district in Bayat, Kalikotes dan Kemalang. This research conducted to know how the batik industry have a related and linkage with the other sector industry and the regional. The purpose of this research is to (1) analyze the business characteristic batic industy in Kabupaten Klaten (2) analyze the industrial linkage of Batic industry in Kabupaten Klaten. This research using two technique, that is coding, editing and tabulation to get the goals of the purpose. Description analysis and spatial analysis to used as an analysis method . The research result by comparing linkages between home industri and small industris of batic. The result of this research is some entrepreneurs is male and almost of the entreprenerus are got married and on the productive age. The bussiness capital is using their own money. The entreprenerus education is 92,1% in under senior high school. The batic industry have a weak industrial linkage, because they are individual. The regional linkage are strong about, The raw materials is more comes from other Kabupaten and the marketing of batik product industry is more to another city than Kabupaten Klaten. The other strong linkage of batik industry is, the labors, the marketing, transportation.
