Abstract

MSME Handicraft in Serenan Klaten has a great economic potential, but has weaknesses such as limited technology and business management. This study aims to analyze the influence of business assistance in improving the performance of MSME. Poplation which makes the object of this research is handicraft craftsmen in Serenan, Klaten Regency, using simple random sampling. This study uses quantitative methods, the analytical method is a simple regression analysis method. The results of the study Based on the t test showed that the results of the t count that the variable business assistance significantly influences the performance of MSME at the Serenan Klaten handicraft center. Alternative development strategies for Serenan Handicraft MSME include: maintaining product quality to improve competitiveness, building partnerships with agents to maintain supply, increase production technology capacity, optimally utilize government support, and increase the skills and creativity of human resources to increase competitive advantage.
