Abstract

This study has the purpose of describing the form, benefits, supporting factors and inhibiting factors of the applications of discipline and nationalism character extracurricular paskibra in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Surakarta. This research uses qualitative approach, data collection with source triangulation and technique. Technique of collecting data is done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis of the application of flow model though data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study showed that the planting of the character of disipline and nationalism extracurricular paskibra in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Surakarta 1 was strongly influenced by the presence of student in school, the timeliness of entering class or school, wearing uniforms completely and neatly, discipline in school rules, willing to sacrifice, give priority to unity an unity, love homeland and spirited reformer, and never surrender. The benefits of planting the character of discipline and nationalism in extracurricular paskibra in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Surakarta 1 are that many students become disiplined and come to school on time, dressed neatly because they are aware of neatness and cleanliness and can manage time, and love of the homeland. Push factors can be seen from every learner who follow extracurricular activities paskibra but do not want to catch up the lesson. Other than that not all students who have participated in extracurricular Pakbira have received permission from their parent.
