Abstract

QUALITY OF KLUTUK BANANA (Musa balbisiana Colla) SEED BASED ON THE ANATOMY STRUCTURE Klutuk banana (Musa balbisiana Colla.) have BB genome, is pure banana. B genome have advance sweet taste, strong stem, disease resistant, and environmental stress (drynes). Klutuk banana often used in expertise genetic to produce cultivars of banana plant cultivation to donations B genome. Feature of klutuk banana have many seed in the fruit. Usually first screening is to selection viability seed to plant with choose the seeds that sink in the water. This reasearch is to find out quality of klutuk banana seed that sink when soaked in water. This research using non-experiment method with test scoring about the integrity of the anatomy of the banana seed with complete category (3), not complete (2), and broken (1). The results from this research is achieved an overall score is not complete on the value 1,73 from sample 100 klutuk banana seed and dominated with not complete category seed. Presentation of the total seed obtained only 8% seed with good category and 92% with not complete category or broken.
