Abstract

Asia Protendo Graha is one of the private companies engaged in the manufacturing of plastic cutting machines and injection molding machines such as hanger, gallon lid, chili sauce etc. The most demand lies in thermoplastic materials that can only be done by injection machines that in fact many have engine damage. To keep equipment in ideal condition, it is necessary to calculate OEE value including availability, performance, and quality. Based on the results of the research, it is found that the effectiveness level (OEE) of njection machine is 52.21%, where the value is low due to the low performance rate which is 70.15%. By using the value analysis of six big losses, it can be seen that the losses that cause low OEE value are reduced speed losses, setup and adjusment losses, and breakdown losses with percentage of 58.7%, 18.1% and 15.3% . To find out what failure modes and the priority order of improvement of the failures, an analysis was performed with Grey FMEA. Based on the analysis obtained it can be seen that the priority sequence of improvements from some of the failures that are nozzle mampet, heater heater that can not be controlled, seal broken and clamping but not open. Proposed improvements to overcome kegagaalan is to do preventive maintenance in the form of periodic maintennace. Due to the failure of the injection machine can be avoided by doing the maintenance of the engine periodically for longer machine life. Keywords: Grey FMEA, Injection Machine, OEE, Six Big Losses
