Abstract

Speech act has speaker and imperative speech partners, it involves speakers and opponents of speech. When speech is in written form indirectly involves the author and reader. There are some Interesting problem can be studied, first type of imperative speech act in Indonesian textbook class IX on 2018, and second the form of imperative speech act in Indonesian textbook class IX on 2018. This research aims to (1) to identify type of the speech act in Indonesian textbook class IX on 2018 (2) to describe the form of imperative sentence in Indonesia textbook class IX on 2018. The data in this study are imperative sentences contained in the Indonesian textbooks class IX on 2018. Technique of data collection in this study using analysis study so the method is used qualitative descriptive. Data validity in this research using peer examination step. Data analysis in this research using content analysis. The results show that (1) there are four forms of imperative speech acts: ordinary imperative sentences, imperative orders, demand imperatives and imperative solicitation (2) there are thirteen ordinary imperative sentences, seventeentative imperative sentences, one request imperative sentence, and one sentence imperative solicitation.
