Abstract

For developing an appropriate model of IPE implementation, good perception either from facilitators or students is needed. Facilitator perception toward IPE is important to become a data for evaluating IPE. This research aimed to describe facilitator’s perception toward IPE competency in Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). This was a quantitative descriptive study with 24 facilitators from School of Nursing, Pharmacy, and Medicine. The instrument was questionnaire that created based on four main IPE competencies including knowledge, skill, attitude and team work. The results of this study found that there 95.8% of respondent had good perception toward knowledge, skill, and teamwork competencies, and 100% of them had good perception toward attitude competencies. Although most of facilitators had good perception in all four main competencies, yet in teamwork competency there were 20.5% of facilitator reporting that they were strongly agree to a view about the students are expected to believe that working individually would have better result on problem solving than teamwork. Health education institutions may improve better coordination as well as socialization among facilitators and administrators for future program.
