Abstract

Abstract Eye disorder effects often perceived by grade 1 machining students of Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara Vocational High School after doing the welding practice. Based on survey results, 6 students as respondents in preliminary survey felt the eye disorder after doing the welding practice. One of the causes students’ eye diorder is PPE welding goggles usage attitude while doing welding practice. The pupose of this research is to determine the relationship of personal protective equipment welding goggles usage attitude with an eye disorder on grade 1 machining students of Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara Vocational High School. The type of this research is observational with design of cross sectional. The subject of this research was taken by using exhaustive sampling technique in which the number of respondents are 202 students. The data collecting technique used is an interview using questionnaire to the respondents related PPE welding goggles usage attitude with eye disorder that perceiveid by students . Bivariate data analysis used is chi-square. The result of the research shows that PPE weding goggles usage attitude related to eye disorder (p=0,000), with students who felt eye disorder are 180 students (89,1%) and students who desn’t felt eye disorder are 22 students (10,9%).
