Abstract

Epilitik is a diatom algae his way of life attached to substrate rock. Epilitik algae habitats are on fresh water of the sea. The function of the algae in the waters of epilitik is as bioindikator water quality. Umbul Kemanten is a tourist area. has spring waters to a depth of 1-1.5 metres. In addition to this there is tourist attractions, as well as irrigation. Consists of the main pond, indoor canals, fish ponds and streams for irrigation. There is a natural kemanten conditions with rocky and Sandy water base allows the presence of algae epilitk. . These studies aim to know the diversity of algae epilitik in Sidowayah village of Kemanten Sub-district Umbul Polanharjo Klaten Regency in Central Java. Samples taken from 3 stations are set by Purposive Sampling. The results of the research showed there were 7 epilitik algae species are found namely Achnanthes brevipes c. Agardh, Stauroneis sp. Gomphonema pravulum, Navicula capitatoradiata, Navicula sp. and Oscillatoria radiosa, Closterium navicula. Bacillariophyceae was the class that dominates the waters of kemanten, has the species there is a lot more than the other classes namely 5 species.
