Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: a) the relationship between moral reasoning with dating relationships in adolescents in Surakarta, b) the relationship between peer social support with dating relationships in adolescents in Surakarta, c) the relationship between moral reasoning with dating relationship mediated by self control in adolescents in Surakarta, and d) the relationship between peer social support with dating relationship mediated by self-control in adolescents in Surakarta. The population in this study is all adolescents with age between 15-19 years in Surakarta, samples from SMA Batik 2 Surakarta are 240 student and teenagers in Surakarta from five places are 125 people, then the total sample in this study 365 teenagers . The sampling technique in this research is accidental sampling and cluster random sampling . Data analysis in this research using Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis. Based on the result of SEM analysis known that there is goodness of fit model goodness shown by the result of full model of structural result of chi-square equals to 87,267, it fits to standard chi square value, probability value equal to 0,084> 0,05; nChI value of 0.996> 0.94, and RMSEA value of 0.061 <0.08. The results obtained conclusion, namely: (a) There is a relationship between moral reasoning with dating relationships in adolescents in Surakarta. (b) There is a relationship between peer social support and dating relationships in adolescents in Surakarta. (c) There is a relationship between moral reasoning and dating relationship mediated by self-control in adolescents in Surakarta. (d) There is a relationship between peer social support and dating relationship mediated by self-control in adolescents in Surakarta.
