Abstract

Errors in learning is a disorder or obstacle that can lead to the results of learning is not maximal. The student's error analysis can be done by re-examining student's work and asking the students to explain the students's way to solve the math test through interview. The purpose of this research is to describe the student's mistake in solving the story test of probability material based on Watson's criteria and the cause in the fourth semester student of University Muhammadiyah of Surakarta.The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. Technique of taking subject based on the answering subject test of wrong value and considered interesting to dig deeper and the subject that can provide the most information, so that obtained 3 subjects students of the fourth semester. From the results of data analysis and discussion can be concluded that the student error in solving the test of probability material caused by lack of understanding the concept in using and applying the formula. The reason is the student is not careful and can not understand the purpose of the test.
