Abstract

Death is one of the most important components of demography, which can affect population change in a region. Surakarta is a region full of demographic problems, one of which is environmental health that can affect the health of its population. Surakarta is the city that has the lowest number of infant mortality cases either city or district level in Central Java. Infant mortality can be caused by many factors such as education, economy, social culture, environmental health and so on. This case is of course interesting to be lifted into a study. This is what the researchers related to the pattern of relationship causing infant mortality with environmental health conditions in the city of Surakarta. The purpose of this study is to answer the existence of the pattern of relationship between environmental health conditions with infant mortality cases using secondary data analysis and survey methods. The better the health condition of the environment then the number of cases of infant mortality will be lower. Based on the results of research that has been done there is a pattern of positive relationships between the two variables. The good environmental health conditions followed by the low number of cases of death in infants. This proves the existence of a positive relationship pattern between environmental health conditions and infant mortality cases in Surakarta.
