Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know do the use of Pop-Up Book media in the science leaning can develop students learning motivation in fifth grade of SDN 1 Jambukulon. This kind of research is an action research which analyse by qualitative and quantitative data. The technique which is used in this research is observation, interview, and documentation. The data validity in this research uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. The result of this research shows that the percentage learning motivation in science students of fifth grade in SDN 1 Jambukulon on prasiclus is 35,4% it means still in the minus category. The students were looked less interest in studying. The next treatment on the first cycle is by using Pop-Up Book media. The precentage average result of the learning motivation increases become 58,85% it means still in the minus category. The students had shown interest in studying but they still less of confidence in the using of Pop-Up Book media. Than the improvement was carried out by doing the second cycle. The precentage average result of the learning motivation increase become 82,3% in the means on the good category. It shown that students interest in learning science by the using Pop-Up Book media is better. They had a good response in studying. So it can be conclude that the using of Pop-Up Book can increase the learning students motivation of fifth grade students in science in SDN 1 Jambukulon in the period 2017/2018.
