Abstract

This study aims at examine carefully the suicide of Will Traynor reflected in Jojo Moyes’s Me Before You novel. The objectives of the study are (1) to identify the suicide of Will Traynor reflected in Jojo Moyes’s Me Before You (2012). (2) to describe the problems that make Will commit suicide. (3) To reveal Will’s reason in doing things which are threatening his life. The type of this research is a qualitative research which the data of qualitative research explain the social phenomena. The researcher uses two data sources, they are primary data sources is used all source that are original from the novel by Jojo Moyes entitle Me Before you novel (2012) and secondary data sources the researcher is reporting on something that someone else saw and has written which is related to this research. Such as, journals articles, academic books, and encyclopedia. The technique which used by the researcher is descriptive analysis. It relates with Suicide reflected in Jojo Moyes’s Me Before You (2012). Based on the analysis, the researcher gets some conclusions. The suicide of Will Traynor include to the Egoistic suicide with combine the clues of this kind suicide based on Durkheim theory. Will Traynor commit to suicide after he suffered Quadriplegia paralysis because the motorcycle accident
