Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of advertising contained on the social media Facebook Twitter and Instagram and describe the legal protection for consumers who consume products in misleading advertising on social media Facebook Twitter and Instagram. The approach method used in this research is normative law approach. The type of research used is descriptive in the form of written or oral words, images, and contents of an advertisement contained in facebook twitter and instagram compared with a legal concept norm contained in the law on advertising contained in advertising on social media Facebook Twitter and Instagram. The results showed that advertising on social media facebook, twitter and instagram still many that are not in accordance with or contrary to the laws and regulations applicable in Indonesia. While the legal protection for the consumer has been regulated by applicable law.
