Abstract

There are three aims of the research: (1) To analyze and examine the difference impact of Discovery Learning and Problem based Learning Strategy on mathematic learning outcomes. (2) To analyze and examine the difference impact of students learning interest on mathematic learning outcomes. (3)To analyze and examine the interaction in implementation of Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning on the students learning interest on mathematic learning outcomes. This research was a quantitative research with quasi experimental design. The technique of sampling used cluster random sampling.The participants of this study are all of the VII grades students of SMP Negeri 1 Baki 2017/2018 academic year.Research sample of this study countains of two classes. The method of collecting data through test, questioners and documentation. The data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance technique with different cell that previously done using Lillifors method for the normality test and the homogeneity test using Bartlett method. The result of the research with α=5%.(1) There are significant differences effect between learning strategy on mathematic learning outcomes.(2) there are significant differences effect between students learning interest on mathematic learning outcomes.(3) there are no interaction between learning strategy and students learning interest on mathematic learning outcomes.
