Abstract

The role of the principal in order to improve the quality of education is very important because it can influence the success and whether the quality of education itself. The school principal as the backbone of the quality of education are required to act as an uplifting, encouraging, establishing and strengthening as well as well as an administrator. In addition to the principal who can help in the success of the school is the performance of teachers. Teacher performance in question is the work of teachers is reflected in how to plan, implement competence - competence that must be owned by a teacher in addition to academic qualifications. The research aimed to be achieved are: 1) describe a leadership model Elementary School Headmaster in Karangasem 2 Tanon. 2) describe the performance of teachers in primary schools Karangasem 2 Tanon. 3) determine the relationship between the models of school leadership at elementary school teacher performance in Karangasem 2 Tanon. The method used is observation, interview and documentation. This type of research is a qualitative research. From the research that has been obtained is the principal use democrartic leadership model, the principal always receive feedback from subordinates, the teacher’s performance is influenced by the school principal, a leadership model that is used principals can provide motivation to the teacher so that the teacher’s performance is increasing.
