Abstract

Congestive heart failure is one of the health problems in the rapidly increasing cardiovascular system. The healing process of patients with heart failure will last long if the patient has psychosocial problems, it also exacerbates symptoms of heart failure and prolongs the rehabilitation process. Basically the involvement of patients and families in the treatment process becomes one of the factors supporting the success of therapy in patients with heart failure. This study aims to find out the description of family support in patients with congestive heart failure at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Types of research with descriptive analytic approach. The number of samples in this study were 42 respondents of congestive heart failure obtained by accidental sampling technique. Measurement of family support using family support questionnairesand analyzed using univariat. Based on the results of the analysis can be concluded1) the respondent's characteristic showed that most 23 respondents were female (54,8%), age 56-70 years 19 respondents (45.2%), high school and college education respectively 12 respondents (28,6%), living with husband / wife 22 respondents (52,4%), long suffering from congestive heart failure is 1 - 5 years 34 respondents (81.0%). Family support in patients with congestive heart failure is enough categorized. Emotional support in patients with congestive heart failure is enough categorized. Informational support in patients with congestive heart failure is enough categorized. The instrumental support in patients with congestive heart failure is enough categorized. Award support in patients with congestive heart failure is enough categorized.
