Abstract

National MDR TB estimates that 2.8% of new TB cases and 16% of TB cases have been treated previously. MDR-TB is a tuberculosis disease caused by M.tuberculosis bacteria resistance to at least two first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs, Isoniazid (H) and Rifampicin (R). The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence rate of DRPs over dose category, subdosis, and potential drug interactions in patients with MDR TB in Dr.Moewardi Hospital in 2017. This research a non experimental with retrospective data retrieval method. The data were collected by purposive sampling technique based on the inclusion criteria of adult patients aged 15-65 years diagnosed with MDR TB inpatient, patients with complete medical record data of MDR TB patients containing patient's identity, drug characteristics, and laboratory data. Data were analyzed descriptively to the guidelines of the Integrated Management Guidance of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis Control 2013, www.medscape.com, www.drugs.com, Stockley Drug Interaction 2009. The number of MDR TB patients at Dr.Moewardi Hospital in 2017 that meets the inclusion of 48 patients from 84 populations. The result of evaluation of DRPs in subdose category were 16 cases (4,76%) and over dose category were 33 cases (9.82%). DRPs of potential drug interaction categories were 170 cases, which included absorption phase 96 incidence (56.47%), metabolic phase 71 incidence (41.76%), and 3 incidence (1.76%) elimination phase. Based on the severity of interaction, there were 95 cases 55.88% minor and 85 44,11% moderate.
