Abstract
This study is based on sexual abuse that often occurs in children. This encourages early prevention efforts such as by doing sex education in elementary school children. The objectives of this study were to: 1) know the effectiveness of the use of guidance boards as a medium of sex education for elementary school children to prevent sexual abuse; and 2) knowing whether there is a difference between classes that use guidance board media with classes that do not use guidance board media. This type of research is a quantitative research with true experimental method. Population in this research is all fourth graders of SD N Pacitan year 2017 / 2018. While the sample is student of class IVB as experiment class and class IVA as control class. Sampling technique used in the form of random sampling. Hypothesis test is done by using t test. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that guidance board is effective as a medium of sex education elementary school children to prevent sexual abuse. It can be seen from the comparison of pre-test and post-test of experimental class that is tcount = 2,3021> ttable = 1,6698. In addition, there is a difference in the total mean between classes using guidance board media with classes that do not use guidance boards of 1.3.
