Abstract

Islamic Center is a place of Islamic Studies and Development in which there are complete functions and facilities to accommodate all activities either in the form of worship functions, education functions, missionary functions, and other functions such as service. Gemolong is a sub-district of Sragen, Central Java Province, Indonesia. Gemolong Subdistrict is located in the west of the capital city of Sragen regency with distance of approximately 20 km from Solo City. This city actually already has a place of gathering all the Muslims in the Great Mosque Baitussalam, but less meet because there are no facilities such as boarding students and ustad, bazis office (Agency Zakat, Infaq, Alms and Endowments), Library and Internet center, hall all use, foodcourt, radio da'wah, medical polyclinic and herbalist, PKBM space (Community Learning Center), Manasik Hajj and others. Activities like recitation are always there once a week for sure. But there are also many problems ranging from Acts of Assumption, Murder, Robbery and Gambling. So it is necessary for the existence of Islamic Center which is modern, simple, and innovative in order to attract the enthusiasm of the community, especially Gemolong City. Islamic Center is a physical container that accommodates some activities and support to Islamization. Among these activities consist of activities of Worship, Mu'amalah and Da'wah. Gemolong City is part of Surakarta. Surakarta itself has a distinctive traditional Javanese building that became a reference in the application of building design. Building characteristics are different from other areas and make an interesting point and memorial. Eco-Architecture is designed with regional reference that has 8 greenship scores of areas such as green planning and green design, green community, green open space, green building, green energy, green transportation, green water and green waste are expected to maintain natural resources to survive longer associated with the age of the vital potential of natural resources and the human ecological environment.
