Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of modality markers in the text of the translation of the Qur'an (TTA) and its implementation in semantic learning. This research includes qualitative description research. The object of this study is the meaning of adverbs marker modalities. The subject studied is the text of the translation of the Qur'an (TTA). Sources of this research data using the text of the translation of the Qur'an (TTA) published by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and research data is a lingual unit containing adverbs marker modalities in the text of the translation of the Qur'an containing ethical language. Technique of collecting data used is method of refer and documentary with technique free libat ably and record. The technique of testing the validity of data using triangulation theory. Technique Data analysis is done by referential pad method. The results of the study and the discussion of nine meanings of adverbs of modalities such as the modality of certainty with the marker indeed, undoubtedly, surely, indeed, of course, and in fact, the modalities of the prohibition with the marker do not, the modalities of invitation with markers should and should, the modalities of desire with markers of will and hopefully , doubt modalities with markers, modalities of ketetpan with fixed markers, dismissal modalities with non-marker markers, mutual modalities with mutual markers, and liability modalities with markers shall be. The results of this study can be implemented as teaching materials Semantic subjects on sub-achievement learning the types of meaning, namely, lexical and contextual meaning.
