Abstract
The purpose of this study to determine: 1) The influence of perceptions of employment opportunities on student interests continue studies to college in students class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura academic year 2017/2018; 2) The influence of learning motivation on student's interest to continue study to university in student class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura academic year 2017/2018; 3) The influence of job opportunity perception and learning motivation on student's interest to continue study to university in grade XI IPS students SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura academic year 2017/2018. The population in this research is the students of class XI IPS of 170 student. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling of 114 respondents. Data obtained by documentation and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis was performed by multiple regression techniques, including t-test, F-test, R2 test, relative and effective donation. The results obtained: (1) the perception of employment opportunities have a significant effect on student interest to continue studies to universities evidenced by the t-count value of 2.287> t-table of 1.984 and the probability of 0.000 <0.05. (2) learning motivation significantly influence to student interest to continue study to university proved by t-count value equal to 2,274> t-table equal to 1,984 and probability equal to 0,000 <0,05. (3) the perception of job opportunity and learning motivation simultaneously affect student's interest to continue study to university is proved by the F-count value of 5.825> F-table of 3.08 and the probability of 0,000 <0.05. (4) job opportunity perception variable gives relative contribution 50% and effective contribution 4,75%. Learning motivation variable contributes 50% relative and effective contribution 4,75%. The calculation of R2 is 9.5%. This means that the variables perception of job opportunities and motivation to learn to give the effect of 9.5% of student interest to continue studies to college, the remaining 90.5% influenced by other variables.
