Abstract

Fawzia Hardiyansyah/A510140179. DANCE LEARNING IN IMPROVING CHILDREN’S SOSIAL INTERACTION DEAF-SPEECH IN FOUNDATION OF SLB ANUGERAH COLOMADU. Essay. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah Unversity of Surakarta. June, 2018 This study aims to describe 1) The process of dance learning that has a role in improving the sosial interaction of children deaf-speech in the Foundation SLB Anugerah Colomadu. 2) Identify factors affecting children with hearing impairment during the learning of dance. 3) Efforts made by schools to support dance learning activities for the improvement of sosial interaction of children deaf-speech in the Foundation SLB Anugerah Colomadu. This research uses qualitative research type. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique using interactive model. The results of the study describe about 1) Dance learning held by the school does not use RPP but make the concept and movement of dance itself. Dance lessons conducted by schools have an effect on increasing sosial interaction of children deaf-speech. 2) Factors inhibiting children deaf-speech in doing social interaction during follow-learning dance is the ability of the language is less and children deaf-speech should be assisted by teachers when doing social interaction, while the supporting factor is to give responsibility to children deaf-speech as a director during dance, the movement made to enhance social interaction, and teachers always provide guidance to deaf-speech children for social interaction. 3) Efforts made by schools to support the implementation of dance learning in improving the sosial interaction of children deaf-speech, which provides the necessary facilities and infrastructure during dance learning and always follow the dance competition outside the school. Conclusions can be drawn from the results of research, namely; 1) Dance learning conducted in SLB can improve the ability of social interaction in children deaf-speech. 2) Deaf-speech children experience inhibiting factors and supporters in social interaction during dance learning progress. 3) Schools always make the best effort to support dance learning in order to increase social interaction.
