Abstract

Health care student’s perceptios on Interprofessional Education (IPE) is necessary as a preliminary study to develop IPE as students play an important role in the development and application of institutional-level IPE. This study aims to determine the perception of health students on the IPE process. This research uses quantitative method with decriptive type of analysis with stratified proportional random sampling sampling technique as much as 83 respondents. The research instrument used the Interdisciplinary Education Perception Scale (IEPS) questionnaire by Luecth et al. (1990). Th e results showed that most of the students had positive perceptions of the competence and autonomy perception component, the need to cooperate, the perception of real cooperation and the understanding of other professions, as evidenced by most of the students agreed (57.3%) with all components of IPE perception. However, there is a significant difference of perception between the students of general medicine, pharmacy and nursing to the perception component of understanding to other professions. The conclusion in this research is that although most of respondent have positive perception toward each component of IPE, but there is a significant difference about student perception of each study so that socialization or briefing may be needed.
