Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know: 1) To know the contribution of the intensity of parental guidance on student learning independence. 2) To know the contribution of the learning environment to the independence of student learning. 3) To know the contribution of the intensity of parental guidance and learning environment to the independence of learning. This research includes a quantitative descriptive study whose conclusions are obtained based on the results of statistical analysis. This research takes place in SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. The population in this study were the students of class X in SMK Batik 2 Surakarta Academic Year 2017/2018 which amounted to 108 students with a sample of 83 students taken by proportional random sampling technique in a random manner. Required data obtained through questionnaires that have been tested and tested the validity and tested reliability. Data analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, R2 test, relative and effective contribution.Regression analysis results obtained by regression equation: Y = 36,504 + 0,317X1 + 0,444X2 which means independence learn influenced by intensity of parent guidance and learning environment. The conclusions obtained are: (1) Intensity of parental guidance have positive effect on student self-reliance on class X students in SMK Batik 2 Surakarta academic year 2017/2018. This is evident from the regression analysis that obtained the value of t arithmetic = 3.451> t table = 1.990 at a significant level of 5%. 2) The learning environment has a positive effect on the independence of learning in the class X students in SMK Batik 2 Surakarta academic year 2017/2018. This is evident from the regression analysis that obtained the value t arithmetic = 4.690> t table = 1.990 at a significant level of 5%. 3) Intensity of parent guidance and learning environment have a positive effect on student self-reliance in grade X students in SMK Batk 2 Surakarta academic year 2017/2018. This is evident from the regression analysis that obtained the value of F arithmetic = 64.475> F table = 3.111 at a significant level of 5%. (4) Variable Intensity of Parent Guidance gives an effective contribution of 25.5%. Learning Environment variables make effective contribution of 36,2%, so total of effective contribution both equal to 61,7%, while 38,2% other influenced by other variable not examined.
