Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of Indonesian language, the form of language variations used, the factors that led to the use of language variations and the appropriateness of the use of the Indonesian language in Majasto Village during the Indonesian language learning process in school. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data analysis method used is interactive analysis consisting of four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. There are four matters that need to be addressed in the results of this research are (1) the use of Indonesian language by the speakers of the community in Majasto village (2) the variation of the language used by the speakers of the village community of Majasto is a variety of casual, business, formal or official variety, frozen, and familiar variety. Of the fifth variety is the most dominant business ventures used by the community. The most widely used variety of languages after business variety is casual variety. Casual relaxation becomes the second choice because casual variety is used to create a more intimate and casual atmosphere when interacting with the people (3) factors that cause the use of variation of language in Majasto village (4) speech acts of Indonesian language use in Majasto village when applied at the time of learning Indonesian at school.
