Abstract

This research aim to describe: Implementation of literacy activity in SDIT Nurhidayah Surakarta. This type research is qualitative descriptive, data source in this research in principal, teacher and student, by using data collecting technique throught interview, observation and documentation. The validity of this study using source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data were analyzed interactively consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verivication. Researches can draw the conclusion that: The implementation of school literacy activities program implemented by three stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Student carry out literacy activities for 15 minutes before the teaching and learning activities include reading, writing and drawing, students presenting their literacy results. Teacher provide mentoring. Teacher attract students’ attention by using interesting methods. Whit literacy students become fond of reading, writing and drawing. Students visit the library at any time, students follow literacy competitions held by schools and education offices.
