Abstract

Headmaster strategy is the most decisive factor in the successful development of school infrastructure. The development of good school infrastructure will improve the quality of learning. The purpose of this research is 1) To describe the headmaster's strategy in developing the school infrastructure, 2) To describe the obstacles experienced by the school in developing the infrastructure, 3) To describe the results achieved after applying the headmaster's strategy in developing the infrastructure function to improve the quality of learning in MI Muhammadiyah Waru Baki Sukoharjo. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are Observation, Interview and Documentation. The results of this study indicate that 1) The strategy used by the headmaster in developing the infrastructure of MI Muhammadiyah Waru Baki Sukoharjo is by conducting comparative studies or visits to other Madrasahs, forming a special team, through work shop activities and searching the internet as a development reference. The management of infrastructure at MI Muhammadiyah Waru Baki Sukoharjo has the following stages of procurement, inventory, use and maintenance. 2) Obstacles in developing infrastructure function in MI Muhammadiyah Waru is difficult fund search, division of tasks that have not been done properly, the time of data collection is too long, the room is not fixed, and the location is not strategic. 3) The results achieved after the implementation of the headmaster's strategy of increasing student enthusiasm, the form of infrastructure that multifunctional student achievement increases, the accreditation School becomes A and the quality of learning increases.
