Abstract

This study is aimed to describe the role of parents in sex education and parents' understanding of the term sex. This research is phenomenological research with qualitative approach. Selection of informant research done by purposive sampling. Data collection using interview method is intended to reveal the role of parents in sex education for early childhood. Interviews conducted are semi-structured interviews. The results of the study: (1) The parental understanding of sex is the relationship between men and women (2) The role of parents in sex education in early childhood, namely (a) explaining the sex differences between men and women (b) closing of the aurat and explaining the boundaries of aurat (c) habitual use of the toilet and teaches how to clean themselves Keywords: Sex education, Parents, Early Childhood
