Abstract

The installation of medical records is responsible for internal and external hospital reports. One source in making internal and external hospital reports is the daily inpatient census made by each of the day-care wards. There are still some errors in the daily census of inpatient care done by the nurses in the care of RSUD Kota Yogyakarta, such as the difference of the admitted and long hospitalized patients. Errors in daily census filling of inpatients can create inaccuracies in the daily census count of hospitalization so that the resulting hospital performance data is inaccurate. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between knowledge and behavior of nurses about daily census filling of inpatient with inaccurate calculation of daily census of inpatient at RSUD Kota Yogyakarta. The research method used is quantitative analytic research with cross sectional approach. The population used was all nurses in RSUD hospital ward of Yogyakarta with a sampl size of 74 people. Sampling with Proportional Random Sampling. The analysis used is Chi Square. The result of statistical test shows that there is correlation between knowledge (p = 0,002), behavior (p = 0,037) of nurses about filling of daily census of inpatient with inaccurate calculation of daily hospitalization at RSUD Kota Yogyakarta.
