Abstract

Tuberculosis is countaminating infectious disease caused by mucobacterium tuberculosis. It becomes social health problem because of the high morbidity and mortality. The objective of this research is to know about the relationship among knowledge, attitude and action in facing tuberculosis in Pekalongan. The methodology used in this research is the case-control study design. The population involved is people with tuberculosis (cases), not control. There were 50 research samples with tuberculosis (cases) and 50 controls wich were taken using the random sampling stratified proportionals technique for the cases and using the purposive sampling technique for the controls. The chi square analyzing test shows that there is a relationship among knowledge (p=0,024, OR 2,571 and 95% CI=1,122-5,5895), attitude (p=0,009, OR=2,912 and 95% CI=1,290-6,571) and action (p=0,008, OR 3,019 and 95% CI=1,315-6,929).
