Abstract

The role of teachers is a task or attitude that must be owned by the teacher, one of them as a mentor in the development of attitudes or behavior and moral values of students. Teachers as mentors to help students face the problems they experienced. Problems experienced by students one of them arise due to various developments experienced by students with regard to physical health, social, emotional, moral and intellectual. With so many developments experienced by students, can not be denied this development occurs with the emergence of various problems related to personal problems, social, adjustment, education, career, student delinquency, etc. Therefore, assistance is needed in growing student development. In the school environment, the role of all parties is needed in helping students who experience problems. SMA MTA Surakarta is one of the schools that emphasizes all parties to play an active role in helping to overcome the problems of students, including Islamic Religious Education Teachers and of course Teacher Counseling as the main implementer in assisting the eradication of student problems. This study examined what problems exist in grade XI students in SMA MTA Surakarta and how the role of Islamic Religion Teacher and Guidance and Counseling Teacher in overcoming the problem in the academic year 2017/2018. Furthermore, the purpose of this research is to find out what problems experienced by students in SMA MTA Surakarta and how the role of Islamic Religion Teacher with Counseling Teacher in overcoming the student's problems. This type of research is field research with qualitative approach. While data collection used in this research is interview, observation and documentation. Then the method of analysis in this study used qualitative data in the form of text in the form of narration that has been through the process of data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. Further drawn conclusions used deductive methods. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the problems experienced by students related to personal problems, social, family, career and problems arising from violations of discipline conducted by students themselves. In overcoming the problems of students, the guidance teacher as the main implementer of guidance and counseling performs 4 main areas and provides guidance in 9 forms of counseling guidance services and involves all parties in helping to solve student problems, included with Islamic Religion Teachers although the cooperation is not in writing but in the field work Islamic Religion Teacher and Guidance and Counseling Teacher help each other in the prevention of problems and the eradication of problems.
