Abstract

The purpose of this study are to analyze and test (1) the effect of Problem Based Learning based on Mind Mapping on student learning outcomes, (2) the influence of mathematical creative thinking on student learning outcomes, (3) Problem Based Learning interaction based on Mind Mapping in terms of thinking ability creative mathematically to student learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research experiment. The population of the study were students of class VIII SMP Al-Islam 1 Surakarta while the samples were taken two classes with the same ability. The sampling technique used is Cluster Random Sampling. Data collection in this research is questionnaire, test and documentation. Data analysis techniques used two-lane analysis with unequal cells. The result of research with significance level of 5% are (1) there is influence of Problem Based Learning based on Mind Mapping to student learning result, (2) no influence of mathematical creative thinking ability to student learning result, (3) no interaction between learning model and ability mathematically creative to student learning outcomes.
