Abstract

This study aims to enhance the activity of class X student of SMK Muhammadiyah Accounting 1 North Klaten academic year 2017/2018 on subjects Basic Banking through Cooperative Learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). This type of research is classroom action research during two cycles. Subjects were teachers (actor) and students of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Accounting 1 North Klaten (receiver actions) totaling 27 students. The data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, testing, field notes, and documentation. To ensure the validity of data used triangulation (data and sources). Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed an increase in students' learning activeness of 31.805% from 51.045% in the first cycle to 82.85% in the second cycle. Based on the results, that Cooperative Learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is able to enhance the activity of class X student of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Accounting 1 North Klaten if done correctly and appropriately.
