Abstract

Economic globalization demanding the development of higher needs, where the demand for clothing, food and shelter will increase. Shopping centers trend that provide elegance in shopping and has been contributed to lifestyle changes of society compared with in a traditional markets. Building nuance, air conditioning, and vertical transportation provide convenience for the visitors of the shopping center itself. Shopping malls with the concept of a mall in Solo Baru will make people surfeited with the same facilities compared with shopping centers with the same concept, the best solution is to integrate or even carry a new concept, it would be better to combine existing concepts with new concepts to let people know that the mall has a different concept, the City Walk concept. The problem is how to design and implement or apply the concept of City Walk to a shopping center in Solo Baru to make a difference to an existing shopping center.
