Abstract

Increase transport that does not directly increase the risk of traffic. Traffic accidents according to Law No. 22 of 2009 on Traffic are unintended and unintended acts that affect relationships with others. In this study the authors use the empirical juridical approach that is on empirical law research, then the researched at first is secondary data, then continued on the primary data field or the community. The type of research conducted is descriptive research, ie where this research is a procedure used to describe the subject or object of research at this time. The types of research are intended to provide true data and regulate on how to handle these responsibilities by using public facilities in Klaten Polres. The research was conducted at Polres Klaten, taking this location because there was a lot of traffic that caused the general damage that made it possible to obtain data to conduct research.From the results of research and discussion, it was found that were responsible for the risks used in the law. Klaten Polres is in the form of a change of loss. Taxes levied on persons, touted to decide to reimburse all the costs of loss from the road service. Moderate to the economy and no compensation responsibility based on the results of mediation decisions made by the parties, where the Satlantas Klaten Police became mediator. Information on the commonly used conflicts in general investigators Klaten Police uses the right of discretion, because now in law enforcement must meet some requirements, one is unlimited, not in the process required, the investigator must feel justice. Polres Klaten investigators use the power of his discretion. The constraints imposed by the Klaten Police Station in the process of handling internal traffic that form the limited budget and facilities, while the external work between police and other agencies related to traffic.
