Abstract

Gas fuel combustion is more advantageous than solid fuel because it produces cleaner combustion, methane gas can be made by gasification with rice husk fuel. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of variation of the diameter of the air distributor pipe to the performance of the gas furnace which includes the combustion temperature, the long time flame, and the duration of the initial ignition. The research begins with the manufacture of air distributor pipe with diameter variation to be paired padatungku rice husk gasification, then do the test of fire from the air distributor without adjusting the air velocity constant V = 4.0 m / s, then using the first air distributor D = 3 cm, second air distributor D = 4 cm, the third distributor D = 5 cm. The measured data of each 1 kg of rice husk in 2 this study is to measure the combustion temperature, measure the effective flame time of the rice husk fuel and measure the duration of initial ignition. The result of the research shows that variation without air distributor distributor of combustion temperature is 647,870C, the flame time is effective for 26min. Variation of Ø 3 cm air distributor pipe obtained average combustion temperature of 764.10C, effective flame time for 23 minutes. Variation of air distributor pipe Ø 4 cm obtained average combustion temperature of 716,9440C, flame time effective for 20 minutes. Variation of air distribution pipe Ø 5 cm obtained average temperature equal to 762,647 ° C, flame time effective for 19 minutes
