Abstract

The advancement of science and technology in the present time makes the need for electrical energy is increasing among the community. The rate of population growth continues to increase proportional to the increase in electricity demand every year. This is what gave rise to new problems for the state electricity company (PLN). The sources of electrical energy supplied by PLN are not all acceptable to consumers because some are lost in the form of losses. Calculations to determine the power and energy losses are done by manual calculations and calculations using ETAP 12.6 (Electrical Transient and Analysis Program). The purpose of this study is to know the loss of power and energy, then compare the results of both calculations. The calculation analysis was performed on Bringin-4 buffer. The data was collected at 10:00 and 19:00 WIB for one month. The introduction used was AAAC with a conduction resistance of 0.137 Ω / km. Manually calculations obtained by Ploss during the day that is equal to 63.10 kW. Total Ploss at night is 34.31 kW. total cost of losses reached Rp. 1.353.723,18. The calculation results using ETAP 12.6 that the total power losses during the daytime that is equal to 86.4 kW and 590.5 kvar. The total losses at night are 47.1 kW and 315.2 kvar.
