Abstract

Abstract. Stress can happen to every human, even almost all adults have experienced it. One of them is a woman who is married and works as a teacher in fullday school, because this is related to the multiple roles that are undertaken simultaneously.This study aims to describe the condition of stress in female teachers in fullday school so it is expected to develop the program design as an effort to improve self-ability to face stressful conditions. The method used in this research is quantitative with explorative approach. The data were collected by giving an open questionnaire containing statements related to the causes of stress, symptoms that arise from stress, the impact that occurs when experiencing stress and coping done to deal with stress conditions. Informant of this research is women teachers who work in fullday school in Surakarta. The results showed that the stress factor that occurs in the subject is the difficulty managing the time when the tasks of the school and home affairs appear simultaneously.Physical symptoms that arise when experiencing stress that is becoming tired quickly while the psychic symptoms that appear that feeling sad. The subject's strategy for dealing with stressful conditions is to manage time and discuss with the husband. Based on the description of the stress condition condition, the researcher tries to arrange the program in the form of self management training.
