Abstract
This Research cover two target, (1) identifying form to act to say directive in discourse of health of compass newspaper, (2) identifying strategy act to say directive in discourse of health of compass newspaper. This research use the method qualitative. Technique data collecting use to correct reading and note the. its Data analysis use the technique correspond. Result of research there two matter, (1) form act to say found directive four kinds of. Researcher find the category act to say directive give the advice 17 sentence (suggesting 1, suggesting 1, urging 6, calling upon 3, reminding 6), criticizing 4 sentence (criticizing 2, fulminating 1, carping 1) inviting 3 sentence (pushing 2, supporting 1), and prohibit 6 sentence (angry 1, preventing 3, prohibiting 2). (2) Strategy act to say directive, found to act to say direct [of] news 13 sentence, direct govern 3 sentence. Strategy indirectly use the comand of news modus 8 sentence and modus news govern 1 sentence.
