Abstract
Moral is a mirror of personality for the knowledgeable person. The evidence that a person is intelligent is not measured by how many diplomas are collected, but how much he practices the knowledge gained and how useful he is. An educator of any degree and whatever level he teaches, has a moral responsibility to educate with noble character for learners. Morals are worn not just apparel in the classroom, but should appear in their daily speech and behavior and when treating others despite their higher status. As is well known in the world of pesantren education that the method of learning is more important than the material presented, while the existence of the teacher is more important than the method of learning done, but the spirit or personality and character of a teacher is more important than the existence of the teacher itself. MTs PPMI Assalaam Sukoharjo is part of da'wah institution that participated in the effort to build a morally and intellectually qualified generation of Moslems. The problem that became the reason of the title selection in this research is the existence of symptoms of social deviation that occurred at the madrasah level. This fact requires teachers to improve the intellectual, spiritual and moral quality as a form of responsibility in order to participate in improving the morals of students. Therefore, in this scientific paper, the purpose of research is to know the role of the teacher in the effort to carry out the moral guidance of tawāḍu' and iḥtirām of female students class IX to the teacher at MTs PPMI Assalaam Sukoharjo. How teachers as parents educate in the school environment in building the character of the students, approaches that are done, communicative learning strategies, assistance for troubled students and exemplary who deserve to be imitated and how the habit appear in everyday activities outside of teaching learning hours. The method of this research using qualitative naturalistic descriptive approach where the authors directly involved in the process of research as a teacher and try to actively interact with subjects under study according to what conditions are and not engineered so that the data obtained is a natural and natural phenomenon. Then analyzed and summarized descriptively so easily understood. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation and documentation. From the field findings that have been obtained in conducting the research, it can be concluded that the MTs teachers PPMI Assalaam has played an active role as mu'allim, mudarris, murabbī and mudarrib in the effort of female students morality especially morals tawāḍu' and iḥtirām. Nevertheless still have to keep improving scientific knowledge and keep istiqāmah in morals in order to become a figure for the future of students who are smart and dignified.
